You will never feel like you are shouting in an empty room as a Christian writer.
The Christian blogging community is so supportive! I’ve made friends from all walks of the internet. I’d never expected to create friendships on Instagram, Bloglovin’ and Facebook.
I never thought I would be praying over my Instagram family or the women in Facebook groups who also blog about their faith. Christian bloggers are supportive; they reach out to you for collaboration, pray for you, comment on and share your posts, and have your best interests at heart. They understand you no matter your walk of life or how different your circumstances may be.
I wouldn’t have believed two years ago that I would have the courage to share my writing and my faith on a platform for all of my friends and family to see. But that’s what happens when you blog for a community of men and women who have something very special in common with you. You become bold and loving in ways you thought you couldn’t be.
Jesus will guide you through the journey when you dedicate your blog solely to Him.
I’ve tried blogging about many different things in my life. I touch on my blogging journey here.
In that post I share just how many topics I rifled through trying to find what bloggers call your “niche” or your “focus.” I tried beauty, fashion, travel – anything and everything! I knew that I loved to write and wanted to blog for years.
Blogging ain’t easy as most of us know. It can be hard to write when you are uninspired or aren’t sure of your direction. Not to mention all of the overwhelm involved with starting a blog; who will read? How do I promote my posts? Where do I come up with ideas? Am I equipped to share the Gospel?
The only direction you need as a faith blogger is a love for Jesus and sharing the truth and the rest will follow. If you feel called to begin writing for the Lord, He will make the path straight. Pray continually without ceasing in regards to the why, how, and when. Trust that He will establish your footsteps if you are committed to dedicating your writing to Him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Faith blogging will bring you closer in relationship to Jesus.
I know the Lord blessed me with a love to write for the sole purpose of helping me grow in relationship with Him. The Lord is using this blog as a vessel for bonding with me.
Each and every post is heartfelt. I write what lessons the Lord impresses on my heart. In doing so, I know that my relationship and bond with the Father is growing in a way it wouldn’t have if I didn’t ponder it or write about it. Writing also helps me to study the word and practice discipline in prayer.
All in all, it amazes me the way the Lord knows us very uniquely. He knew that I would devote my writing to Him before I knew I wanted to start this blog. I truly believe that is why he created me to love writing.
Faith blogging will bring creative fulfillment and joy that honors God.
Being writers and artists, you know that feeling you get when you finish a piece? Imagine that feeling every time you hit post! 5 reasons you need to start your Christian blog RIGHT NOW.
God formed us together in our mother’s womb; he also is the one to bless us with creativity in all forms. After all, the Lord created man therefore creativity is an attribute of the Father.
Then Moses said to the Israelites, ‘See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills – to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. He has filled them with the skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiders in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers – all of them skilled workers and designers.’ Exodus 35 30-35.
Jenn Arman at Project Inspired wrote an awesome post about creativity in Jesus which you can find here (I really recommend you read it!). When we use our creativity to write, we are worshipping. We are worshipping the gift giver with the amazing gift – a love for writing – He has given us.
When I first began writing, I worried about what I was going to bring to the table for others. This is a genuine concern; most people don’t read blogs to learn about the blogger. Most readers come to learn something for themselves that they can put to practical use. I thought I was meant to be writing book reviews, Bible studies, and creating informative Pinterest graphics. You won’t do what you think people expect for very long if your heart isn’t in it.
I have now found a delicate balance of creating informative, practical blog posts for the Christian writer while satisfying my own need to story tell. I lace lessons the Lord has placed on my heart + mini life stories with encouragement for Christian writers. It is creatively fulfilling and fun to write for this humble little blog and I truly believe that is what God intended for me. 5 reasons you need to start your Christian blog RIGHT NOW.
You will inspire others and reach people you’d never imagined you would.
Last but certainly not least, you are a vessel.
God will use you to reach people that otherwise may not have been reached. He will use you to inspire, encourage, and pray for those that are in need. He will equip you to do things you never thought possible for yourself. Don’t be afraid of the new challenges God will give you with this new calling of yours.
Recently I asked my Instagram followers if they were struggling with spiritual battles. I also asked if they needed prayer and was surprised by the responses. I genuinely thought I was going to hear crickets! But going back to my original point, the Christian blogging community is supportive and willing to reach out. We are made to connect and have relationship with one another and so many other people are creating their ministries online, too. Join in on the love!
